Description:
This is a metaphor of potboilers - a chap holding a hod full of paint and another one painting the first one‘s face red with a flat paintbrush. A potboiler - hopeless work for hopeless money, humiliating. Unfortunately, this is how we saw all those extras commissioned to us by the Visual Arts Studio. We forced ourselves to do them (see page)
(T.G.)
This is one of the coordinators who gave us the commissions at the Visual Arts Studio. He was a nice jovial "uncle" who came, asked, patted our shoulders, tried to make friends with us, but all this didn't make us like him a bit more.
