Description:
This is an ironic painting. These women are no virgins. On the contrary. They like romance and sex very much. Here they are sitting on holiday, sipping drinks, being cool, dressed sexy, and talking about how to spend the coming days. Only one of them is innocent. The undressed one. If you're innocent you can always undress. In arts nudity traditionally symbolized innocence. [In Polish the title was Prawiczki which is a male word for "virgins". The artist used the male form to underline the irony behind the title - translator's note] (E.D.)
