Description:

Café Mozaika on Puławska Street in the center of Warsaw still exists - with its beautiful, modernist neon. At the time of communism, the security services met artists, mostly filmmakers, in this venue. These were no real interrogations, just smoke, and mirrors. I know because I used to sit there several times. I didn't refuse because I was interested in all these mechanisms and conversations. In fact, I was of no use to the security servicemen. It was a cheat, playing cat and mouse. I told fake stories and apart from that, I was never asked about anything important. (E.D.)
