Description:
E.D.: At the beginning of the 90s me, Teresa and you used to go to the Mozart Festival at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. We spent every other evening in that small theatre. Remember? P.D.: Yes, I fell in love with Don Giovanni. Each opera was a huge experience for me and I obsessively drew them afterwards. I gave the best drawings to Ryszard Peryt, the director of those performances. E.D.: I wonder what he did with them. P.D.: I drew and you painted this work. I remember being at your studio with you when you painted it. E.D.: Yes. This is your favourite singer, Agnieszka Kurowska, and my best soloist, Dariusz Paradowski, soprano. P.D.: But they didn't perform together in Cosi Fan Tutte. I told you then. E.D.: This doesn't matter. The title sounds beautifully. It means "all females do that". And she's pregnant here. She had the baby with him on purpose. A classic story. Now she's a saint. And in the background there's our house in Warsaw and you standing on the balcony as if you were sitting in the audience - learning life from opera. P.D.: And these rams? E.D.: The rams come from a different painting. I can't remember which. P.D.: Do you like listening to Mozart? E.D.: Well, yes, he's genius. But lately I prefer Puccini.
