Description:
E.D.: This is a man around sixty who'd like to have some more love adventures. He stopped eating meat. He's trying to get fit and he's running around his district. But he's not really vegetarian, just "vegetary". He thinks that running a little will cause erection. Total ignorance and idiocy. This painting tells about a dream of potency, about male nervousness which some aging men fall into. P.D.: And maybe about blind following the Western trends? It could be understood this way nowadays. E.D.: Well, yes, they're running in America, around parks, also wanting to get thinner and younger. P.D.: But you know that they're right? E.D.: Maybe they are. One president, I think it was Sarkozy, went for jogging and lost consciousness. He had to be taken to hospital. I never ran because it may result in hurting your kidneys and liver. You can get a hernia. P.D.: From running? What kind of superstition is that? E.D.: Of course. If you want to run, all of a sudden, after turning 60, you have to wear an anti-hernia belt. You have to prepare for running, practice for a long time, wear proper shoes, not start all of a sudden, not show off, not run on asphalt, etc.
